| The Sunken Plaza is a multi-use Gathering Area that links to the newly renovated Mckale Center and can be entered from the Berm Gardens. The plaza has a central water feature that is reminiscent of the octagonal memorial fountain in front of historic Old Main. The Sunken Plaza is 4 ft below grade and offers relief from the sun and heat. The fountain in the center flows through a runnel along the path. The walls of the Sunken Plaza are covered with Yellow Orchid Vine providing a cooling effect.© | SUNKEN PLAZA |

BERM GARDENS
The concept for the Berm Gardens was to create interesting topography and a meandering path through dramatic deset plantings. |
